THANK YOU!

Seriously. When people say camping, I think of, cranky mid-aged people waking up in the early hours, with a sprained back from a uncomfortable mattress that they slept on. But clearly that wasn't up to scratch. I never did expect to see, better yet, ride a flying fox at my year 8 camp. Also having cabins to sleep in, instead of tents, wasn't exactly ideal, although, I am very grateful for the decision.

Without any of your help in camp, team 5 year 8’s, wouldn't have had their fun in that week.

So, on behalf of the year 8 students, I would like to say thank you Mrs Nua for giving us time, to talk with our friends, to grow close with each other, and gain back our childhood characters we once were, before we slightly grew up and became the young teenagers we are now. It was nice to chill, relax, and have a week of fun, before our time at Ptengland is up for us.

So once again I’d like to say thank you Mrs Nua, we will try and strive for success and make our Ptengland family proud. Yours sincerely, ..
Team 5 year 8’s

Colours...

relax his students and

Colors are special. Due to their colorful, warm
and vibrant appearances, colors are that typical
something our following beings can’t live without.
All around the world, you will see that colors and
a lot more useful. Weather it be for Clothes,
Buildings, Cars, people even have colors
in their own hair. So, speaking of colors ...

You will notice that blue, red, and yellow, are recognized as the
primary colors. Just to answer your question,
they are a group of colors, which can be obtained by mixing. Which brings us to secondary colors, green, orange, and purple. The aftermath of mixing at least two primary colors together.

Tertiary colors are what most of the human race are most fond of using. A tertiary color or Quaternary color,  is a color made by mixing either one primary color with one or two secondary colors together. Red, violet, blue, green, yellow, and orange, are the names of thee tertiary colors.

Talented artist, use these colors to perform a landscape or portrait framed, piece of art.
Most of the time, these pieces of art are most likely an expression of the artist, shown on a white canvas. Where as some times, the white canvas shows flickers of paint, or maybe even splashes of paint. Like the great artist, Jackson Pollock.

Game On!

Instead of the late morning sleep in’s, we were up early and perky, in the school hall. Ready to learn and everything. Why?, because. Today is the day my class and I, are back for our first day. Of coarse, we had to have an Immersion Assembly. In case you hadn’t notice, but, my school has a Immersion Assembly each term, to kick off with the new, and exciting themes.

This term off coarse we had to learn all about fitness, seeing as my schools theme for this term is, ‘Game on’. I guess it’s based off the event the queen is holding, (The Glasgow Commonwealth Games). It’s for thee fifty-four countries who recognized the queen, like New Zealand, The Bahamas, and Canada, are able to compete in this years event.

So, having that in mind, it kind of looks like Team 5 and I are doing a lot of running this term. Just like the other day. All year 7 & 8 students had to run towards the end of thee Pt England Reserve, and run right back to the entrance of our school grounds. Just thinking about it makes me puffed out, like I was that day.

Which makes me think, Is this term going to be fun at all? I mean, don’t get me wrong I love what are topic is, it’s just. Running, sprinting, and jogging for fitness, yeah totally not my thing. Only time you see me running, is when I play sports. I can’t just run for no reason, it has to be fun, and enjoyable. But. Who knows, I might just enjoy this term.

A message from a wise and beautiful woman

Today is the day my class and I, had our very first future Aspiration talk, about our jobs in the future. I think I have a fair idea of where I’ll be. Hopefully, in the next 10 or even 20 years, I’ll be a famous architecture, or better yet, a family lawyer with my sister. Still.  No one knows about what the future will hold.  So, I guess I have to a least try and achieve the necessary.

Just in case you are confused about what is need to be done. Here is just a few words of what a wise and beautiful lady said to me. “Laita, if you want a job, then make it something that is worth living for. Be happy, and not just share the love with your family, but with everyone around you.”

I guess that’s why I want to become
an architect, no only because of my own satisfactory, but because I’m going to be changing lives. And also making dreams. Or when I become a lawyer, I will be a helping hand to my client. But..

Has anyone ever heard of the saying living to work? Has anyone ever done that saying. Well, if your are then stop, because I personally think that is how most of human race, is dieing at such a young age. Due to stressful nights of thinking about how are they going to be feeding our children, or how are you going to pay for rent, etc, etc.

We should be able to turn that saying around. So, instead of living to work,  make it,  you are working to live. Everyone has their loved ones to look after, and if you make a couple of good choices, then we should be able to enjoy life. That people is what needs to be done. Be happy with my job and enjoy my life while living.

My Understanding of sound

Sound comes from vibrations. These vibrations create sound waves which move through mediums such as air and water before reaching our ears.  Our ears vibrate in a similar way to the original source of the vibration, allowing us to hear many different sounds.

Dogs can hear sound at a higher frequency than humans, allowing them to hear noises that we can’t. Sound is used by many animals to detect danger, warning them of possible attacks before they happen.

The speed of sound is around 767 miles per hour (1,230 kilo-metres per hour). The sound of thunder is produced by rapidly heated air surrounding lightning which expands faster than the speed of sound. The loud noise you create by cracking a whip occurs because the tip is moving so fast it breaks the speed of sound!

And also speaking of sound, what about music. Music can be hard to define, but it is often described as a pleasing or meaningful arrangement of sounds.

Anzac day

Outside where the little poppy's flourish, were the Australia and New Zealand fighting soldiers. Exactly two weeks, and four days ago. The people of the long white cloud, spent one day to pay their respects and grateful thoughts, to the men and woman who fought for their country. Every single once in a while, on all sorts of special days, we rise together as family. But on that particular day, we all call it Anzac day, (April the 25th).

It's admirable and respectful fact that, many of the men and woman had lived to see their grandchildren rise, from birth to at least 18 years old. Others had fallen form being shot violently, and had landed on a poppy. I salute thee for being brave enough and taking the pain away from many who could have suffered, and in hopeful thought may they see the light of gods kingdom, to be freed from all the pain. Amen

Meaning that I am grateful for what they have done for me, and my future. They have blessed so many lives, so, I guess that's why our soldiers get one day to be admired. God bless, and rest their beautiful fighting souls.
